Weekly Update #18 - Quality Upgrades


This week brings a huge overhaul to all the User Interfaces and many general graphics of Numentale. In addition to the graphical overhaul, I've fixed several known bugs and improved the quality of some text and fonts throughout the game.

  • New Windows, Buttons and other GUI elements have been added and old ones replaced
  • Several poorly scaled text has been replaced with TMPro text (this means higher quality/fidelity text)
  • Several Interfaces have been adjusted to have more clarity and/or look nicer
  • A fairy has been added to the path tree that follows you around :)
  • Screen "Titles" that drop down have been updated to have more accurate names and a new graphic. This has also been added to Class Select
  • More lines have been added to the hooded stranger in the Camp
  • Fixed a bug that could cause tooltips to stay on the screen after battle
  • Added checks for invincibility and undying skill when taking poison damage
  • Fixed bug that caused increased stacking damage from Observation to be applied before attack instead of after
  • Fixed a bug that caused reckless charge not to heal from any form of lifesteal
  • Fixed incorrect visual numbers in certain cases from any form of lifesteal
  • Adjusted Nihilo's fury so that it affects all abilities as well as standard attack, but lowered the % increase
  • Fixed a bug that could cause an additional empty treasure chest to appear on top of another after battle in some cases
  • Fixed incorrect currency (Innocence, Spark, Chaos) values showing in various difficulties
  • Fixed a bug that caused bosses charging animations to continue after a skill was used

I'm still very busy on pollishing the game in preparation for a game showcasing event, so there will likely be several more quality changes along with a small amount of new content/features this week. Until next time :)
