Continued Development


Hello folks!

It's been a long time since I posted an update here about the current situation of me and Numentale so I thought I'd write up a bit of a post to explain what's happening and the future of the game.

The past few months have been very busy with moving, life issues and just generally sustaining myself, so I haven't been able to update the game as I'd wished. As for now, I'm in my final year of university here in the UK, but plan on releasing a few updates throughout the year. 

A few glaring problems have become apparent with the current state of Numentale, and I'm set on fixing them and updating all the back-end stuff before adding larger content updates like I have in the past.

I wanted to note down some of these updates, hopefully a bit of a roadmap to look forward to for those interested. These are as follows:

  •  Character-specific skill trees
  • Update and restructuring of battle mechanics and back-end scripts
  • New features, unique item effects, level-up and stat growth, "chaos vault" - rare rewarding experiences, better equipment tooltips, deeper lore and random "mission select" dungeons and many more!

Over the next year, I will be also working on an editor that should be able to be implemented in to Numentale. This should allow players to easily create enemies, events and maybe even "campaigns" that I hope should allow far greater freedom and adventures than I could create alone. 

There's a possibility of looking for funding at some point in the future too, as things like art and music are expensive and I want to make Numentale in to something really special and complete. Any interest or inquiries, please email me at Dragonsparkgames@gmail.com.
